1938 - 1942 Door Mirror
I don't know exactly what year this mirror came from and doubt it's a Packard factory accessory (which were always dealer installed anyway) but I'm fairly sure it was on my 1939 Six sedan when I bought it and it is an appropriate style for a 1939 or other prewar car. If it wasn't on my 1939, then it was on one of my 1940 110 Sedans. This mirror would need a restoration for show but would also look nice just polished. The glass looks good and there is only light pitting on the arm.
The main fault is that the thin shell, which is painted but shiny underneath seems slightly distorted because it is what supports the mirror to the arm. Also, it looks as though one of the threaded set screw holes was slightly larger than the other so might be stripped and if that's the case, simply tapping that one, or both, to the next thread size and using new set screws of the appropriate size should be an easy fix. The photos show it set up for clipping to the front edge of the door but the attachment bracket can be moved for attaching to the top edge.
Note that this part is in my workshop in rural Central Oregon so I can ship only when there. My last visit was from March 4 to March 25, 2026 and the next has not yet been scheduled but I am usually there every few months, weather and my schedule allowing.
