1954 - Packard Service Counselor
The
Packard Service Counselor was Packard's newsletter to their dealerships and was issued monthly and occasionally more often if there was a special need. In it are repair tips, modifications for improvements, new part numbers, wiring and lube diagrams and too much else to list and none of it was included in the Packard Shop manual!
One especially interesting thing is that they also refer to older cars. For example, if a part for a newer car can be modified to fit an older model, there are details of how to do it. Special tools are also shown, often with dimensions for making one if necessary so all in all, these are invaluable for any Packard owner. It is recommended to get the one for you car's year and all the newer ones for full coverage.
This version was published by Packards California back in the late '70s or early '80s and is a copy that is bound by year with only a couple copies available. Packards California's Service Counselors always included the covered year and the last several issues from the previous year with the specifications after the models were introduced.
